Abstract

Antimicrobials have posed a challenge due to resistance emerging leading to
increased length in the hospital stay and increased health care cost. This review aims
to highlight newer antimicrobials (Antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals etc) with new
targets and some still awaiting clearance by food and drug administration.
